Need- and merit-based scholarships for full-time high-school and college students in the DMV area.

Who can apply
Students in the DMV area
Full-time students enrolled at high schools or undergraduate college programs in the Fall 2026 semester in Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.
Students outside the DMV area
Full-time students enrolled elsewhere in the U.S. whose parents live in the DMV area and filed the prior year's income taxes accordingly.
Not eligible
Graduate-school students and international students.
Required materials (5 uploads)
Upload exactly five files — one per item. Combine multiple proofs for
one item into a single file. Use clear filenames, e.g. Lastname_Firstname_OfficialTranscript.pdf.

Official verification of enrollmentAn OFFICIAL document issued by your current institution for the Fall semester, showing that you are a full-time student.

Official transcriptAn OFFICIAL transcript showing your academic achievement for at least one full year. New transfers/freshmen should submit their previous institution's transcript.

Income tax returnThe most recent return with a DMV-area address. If a dependent, submit your parents' return listing you. If independent, submit your return plus a brief statement justifying your financial independence.

Self-introduction video (≤ 3 min)A concise presentation video as if applying for an internship/job you're passionate about. Visit onetonline.org, search your target job, open the Details tab, and identify the most significant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. Present your strengths and how you'll address weaknesses. Evaluated on: (a) content quality — alignment & depth of self-assessment; (b) presentation effectiveness — persuasiveness & professionalism; (c) action plan — strategy for growth.

Verification / evidence of service, leadership, employment, licenses, or certificatesCombine items into one file. Claims alone don't receive credit — include proof. Examples: language certifications (TOPIK, JLPT, ASL); practical skills (lifeguarding, food service, First Aid/CPR, skilled trades); full/part-time work or internships; community service for non-profits, religious orgs, or schools; leadership roles in sports teams, work groups, or student organizations.
